Title: Scarlet Victorian Roses #3
by Paul de Longpre

Description:

*Be sure to scroll down to see the closeup photos for more detail!* This gorgeous print by the French Victorian watercolorist Paul de Longpre is just gorgeous! A cut-glass, faceted vase with gold scrollwork embellishment holds a freshly-picked bouquet of scarlet red cabbage roses and pristine white lilacs. In Victorian times, the red rose symbolized the virtue of "True Love", and the white lilac stood for "Innocent Love"...such a sweet combination. The detail work is just superb, as only de Longpre could do. This laser print on heavy stock measures 10.5 x 15 inches, and can fit into an 11 x 14 inch frame just fine.
