Description:
This dramatic and richly-hued rose print is by the celebrated Victorian watercolorist, Paul de Longpre. The title of the print is "Victorian Summer Roses". Deep pink roses with smoky plum contrasts, paired with a pastel pink rose and a buttercream yellow rose makes for a scrumptious bouquet. As in many de Longpre paintings, this print has two lazy bumblebees, one of de Longpre's trademark signatures. In Victorian times, the pink rose symbolized that the bearer was "An Ambassador of Love". This elegant print measures aprox 8.5 x 16 inches, in the half yard long format, and is laser printed on heavy stock.
