Description:
*Be sure to scroll down for the closeup and framed photos* This is a fabulous print for the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle. It was made for perfume vendors to showcase their wares at the famous fair. At the top are gold coins for the cities of Havre, Anvers, Barcelone, and Troyes, and below them a scene unfolds. A golden-haired goddess sniffs a rose, while cupids busily tend to the business of making perfume. All around them are several flower studies, including: rose, lilac, peony, lily, violet, frittalaria, iris, etc. Perfume bottles are at the lady's feet, as well as an urn with fragrance billowing out. (Please bear in mind that the overall print is sharp and crisp, like the second closeup photo.) This is a splendid piece, and frames up beautifully. This laser print measures aprox 10.5 x 13.5 inches, and will fit a standard size 11 x 14 inch frame as shown. The colors are true in the unframed photos.
